EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Students at ‘The Millennium School, Mohali’ celebrated ‘Earth Day’ on April 22, 2014 with many environment related activities. Special Assemblies were conducted by the students of the pre-primary, primary and secondary level students.Classes I and II did an activity ‘Best out of Waste’ and displayed the outcome in an exhibition. Classes III and IV did ‘Paper Recycling’ by making paper bags of used paper. Classes VI to X did creative writing on the theme ‘My Earth, My Mother, My Responsibility.’ The Green Club of the school decorated soft boards and urged the students to become responsible citizens by taking care of their planet.

WORLD BOOK DAY CELEBRATIONS

The International ‘World Book Day’ was celebrated at ‘The Millennium School, Mohali’. The students marked the occasion by decorating the class doors as giant book covers. The innovative style in which the students displayed their creativity was amazing.The doors were decorated as covers of the books of Roald Dahl, J.K. Rowling, Geronimo Stilton, R.L. Stine, etc. It was an exciting day since it was the first time an activity of this kind had been conducted. The outcome was spectacular.

The junior students participated in ‘Tell me a Story Contest’ and were given Story Starters to write their own stories.The stories which the children came up with were indeed enthralling.

The winners of these activities were felicitated with certificates and medals.
